The 2025 Nurse Pinning Ceremony was a moving and unforgettable celebration as Lake-Sumter State College recognized the newest class of registered nurses. This emotional and powerful event honored the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our nursing graduates as they took their next step into the healthcare profession.
A heartfelt tribute was shared in memory of Sarah Madole, a beloved member of the nursing community whose legacy of compassion and strength continues to inspire. The ceremony also featured an inspiring keynote address from Susan McLean, the founder of LSSC’s Nursing program in 1983, who shared reflections on the program’s history and the enduring impact of nurses in our communities.
This cherished tradition once again highlighted the deep bonds formed in the nursing program and the calling each graduate has answered with courage and heart.
