At Building Blocks Ministries, learning doesn’t stop inside the building—it grows wherever curiosity and connection can take root.
As the team eagerly awaits the completion of a new outdoor learning space, clients are already finding meaningful ways to connect with nature. Recently, Lisa’s class took their Life Skills Development lessons outside, creating handmade bird feeders—combining creativity, teamwork, and a love of cooking with the simple joy of the fresh air.
For many clients, these moments are powerful. Lisa’s curriculum is supported with sign language, helping individuals with language impairments communicate, collaborate, and experience success together. Hands-on, nature-based activities like this don’t just reinforce lessons—they open new pathways for expression, confidence, and shared accomplishment.
Once completed, the new patio will provide a safe, shaded, and accessible outdoor space with fans—giving clients a comfortable place to learn, create, and socialize year-round. More than an upgrade to the facility, this project represents an investment in dignity, inclusion, and daily joy for adults with developmental disabilities right here in South Lake.
We’re proud to support Building Blocks Ministries as they continue creating environments where learning feels empowering, connections feel natural, and every individual is supported in reaching their fullest potential.
