Easterseals Florida continues to strengthen community health through its dedicated Health Navigators. In September, they facilitated a powerful collaboration between Hands of Hope of America and the Lake County Health Department, resulting in the distribution of free flu vaccines during a Community Outreach Event—a critical service in a county with high rates of unvaccinated individuals.

Easterseals’ Health Navigators play a vital role in identifying, sharing, and connecting South Lake residents with essential health resources. From sending out timely reminders about immunizations, heart health, and blood sugar management to creating user-friendly calendars and schedules, their proactive approach helps clients stay informed and on top of their wellness goals—especially during busy seasons like the holidays.

Their efforts go beyond education—they link clients with free or low-cost screenings and recently launched a new Health Newsletter, set to begin circulation in March. Through partnerships with fellow grantees and local nonprofits, Easterseals Florida ensures that health equity is not just a goal—it’s a reality being built every day.
