Libby’s Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation is making it easier for South Lake County residents to find the breast health information, resources, and support they need, and they’re inviting the community to help lead the way.
Through a capacity-building grant from Live Well Foundation of South Lake, Libby’s Legacy is developing new websites for both Libby’s Legacy and Waterwell Farms, with a focus on accessibility, education, and connecting individuals and families to services.
South Lake County volunteers have played an important role in shaping these resources by sharing the questions community members frequently ask. From understanding mammograms and accessing care without insurance to learning about healthy living opportunities and survivorship retreats, their feedback is helping ensure the websites reflect the real needs of the people Libby’s Legacy serves.
By putting community voices at the center of the process, Libby’s Legacy is creating more than an improved online experience. The organization is removing barriers to information and building stronger connections between residents and the resources available to them.
Live Well Foundation of South Lake is proud to support Libby’s Legacy as it continues finding thoughtful, community-driven ways to improve access to care and support breast health and survivorship throughout South Lake County.
